Chapter Seven of Expecting a Mricale

“Son don’t be like other men, Don’t be like any denomination. Be like Jesus and heal the people as He did.”


These were the word spoke to Oral Roberts by his father, to walk in his calling of healing. The reason I am studying in depth the Life of Oral Roberts is because I believe that God has called me to work in the healing ministry to see the power of God flow. My hearts desires are to see people be set free, from sickness and diseases that have them bond! As I continue to read this book. I am deeply encouraged of Oral faith in God. Oral faith drives him to study the things of God and to also fast and pray. He puts his entire being into seeking the face of God and allowing God to use him. I pray that as I continue to study his life and imitate the Christ in Oral that I too will be able to grow in Faith and that God`s power and might will shine through my life as a testimony of His power. My Journey as only begun!

Chapter Six and exciting News!

Well my study continues as I study the life of the Late Oral Robert. In chapter six Oral talks mostly about his begins of his ministry and the birth of their first child. Chapter six though interesting is just the tip of the iceberg of things to come in his ministry. I see that he was very faithful to the little he had going for him and God truly blessed him with more, from staying in homes with no heat, barely making ends meet, Oral had the dedication, and persistence to continue living by faith. I look forward to reading Chapter seven.




On a different note. I found another great Christian book which is the study of Paul’s life written by Beth Moore, I am thrill to be able to purchase this book also for a whooping fifty cents at the goodwill. Chapter Five of Expecting a Miracle by Oral Roberts

Since I found this book at the thrift store for 50 cents, I have truly been captivated by the Life of Oral Roberts and his healing Ministry. In chapter five O)ral talks about his meeting and marriage with his wife Evelyn. It is a spectacular and extraordinary Love story how two people could meet and get married to one another in such a short amount of time. It had to be God that brought them together! In our day and time this is one major flaw that is missing in Christian men and women, they don’t wait to hear from God to whom they should marry. I guess this could be one reason why divorce rates are so high in Christian homes, because we refuse to allow God to direct are path in every area of our Life. I see that Oral had a heart that leaned on God completely even for such an important matter of finding a spouse. If God bless Adam with Eve, I believe he can bless us with are mates also.

Chapter four of Expecting a Miracle

I I have now finished reading chapter four of Expecting a Miracle by Oral Roberts; with five kids it can get a bit hectic to find time to settle down and read a book. Back to the book, this was a chapter of boldness and Authority of praying God’s word. In this chapter Oral is still on his death bed with TB, BUT Oral is about to see the power of God manifest through his healing. Oral sister deliver a word from God to him as he lies their thinking he way going to die she said” Oral God is going to heal you". These were the encouraging words from his sister that gave him hope in Christ that cause him to surrender his life back over to Jesus. What I learn from this chapter is to stand firm and bold on God’s word. If his word said that by his stripes we were healed than that means healing belongs to us. It taught me how to truly step out in faith in my prayers to be bold in Christ and believe God to heal the sick, and to lay hands on the sick and stand on God word that they shall recover. (Expecting God to do his part) No longer will aspect anyone saying if it God will I will be heal, because I know for a fact God word tell us Yes healing belongs to us. HAVE FAITH! It might not be right then, but it will happen as I stand in faith because God never ever goes back on his word. IT’S THE TRUTH!

Chapter Three of Expecting a miracle... God is a Good God

The Goodness of God leadth thee to repentance Roman 2:4. I am now in Chapter three of the book of expecting a miracle by Oral Roberts. In chapter three Oral has decided to leave his mother and father home to adventure off on his own. He is at a stage in his life were he thinks he knows it all and what he does know is that he does not want anything to do with God , or church. Oral even goes as far as to tell God to let him be! As I read this I thought to myself what would bring a young person to a point to tell God to remove his hand from their Life, to open up themselves to the devil`s territory. I guess it could be said that at that time he was not very mature spiritualy and mentaly to understand in depth who God was! But one thing we do know is what his parent taught him was about to come to life, for the bible tell us to train up a child in the way that they should go and when they are old they shall not depart from it! Yes he had seen miracles done, but I grasp that it did not take root in his life just yet. Oral ends up becoming sick and having to return home only to find out that he was in his final stage of TB. A sickness that effects the lungs and has him bed ridden and coughing up blood. But through it all Oral knew that God did not give him this disease for God is a Good God and the devil is bad! You know so many people say such foolish thing such as, “God gave me cancer so I could slow down in Life”. Or “God killed my Love one in a car accident”. I guess out of ignorance in not know who God is we put the blame of such evil things on God , when in fact the word of God tells us that that the devil comes to steal, KILL, and DESTROY but GOD came that we may have life and have it abundantly. In the midst of Oral turning his back on God and becoming deathly ill he never once blame God because he Knew that God was Good and the devil was bad. And what the devil meant for evil God was about to turn it around. Are their things in your life that you have blamed God about? Know that he is a Good and just God who does no harm. Jesus Loves you!

Chapter two of Expecting a Miracles

The name of this Book is right on target in Chapter two. Oral Roberts faith is being  put to work in a time were their seem to be no solution to solve their family Problem of running out of Food to Eat. Oral speaks of  a day when  their family had absolutely nothing to eat. To make matters worst  his mother takes them to visit a Family friend who is cooking dinner at the time. This woman  invites them to eat dinner with her family, but to my surprise in reading this book her mother kindly declines. Now I am thinking wow! she said No! when she knew they had no food to eat, isn`t this God answering her prayers by allowing a friend to invite her in for dinner? But  Oral`s mom knew that God would provide in a different way, She had to hear from God and trust in his voice, and his wisdom that this was not the answer to her prayer, a quick meal. For she waited patiently on God! My eyes were glue to the pages wanting to know  how God would show up and if so when?  As I read on Vernan, Oral Roberts older brother was becoming weary,  who would not be?`s your hungry and you just watch your mom`s friend just eat dinner and you were not`t allowed to eat! Could you still trust God under this circumstances as your body ached in hungry pains? Well, Oral and his mother knew better as Oral spoke these word to his brother "God will take care of us! "And God surely did by providing a basket full of food to be Left in their home after they had return home from visiting  their Mother`s friend home. A meal Fit for a King! God had provided more than what they had even ask for. I can be sure  by now they probably were so hungry they would had been satisfy with just a loaf of Bread. Sometimes God allows us to go without to get  us to step out a little deeper in faith ,not just to be satisfy but to expect God to Move above and beyond for the scriptures tell us that he  will do exceedely! and beyond! what we ask of Him and THAT WAS JUST IT! God did exactly what he said in his word, he just did not provided ,but he went beyond! But it require them to step out in faith and reject an easy answer to a prayer and expect God to move mightily! Are you expecting God to do miracles for you also ? Ask Big! for he is able to do it and when he does you will know it came from the Lord.

Chapter One of Expect a miracle

" Before I realized what I was saying , I punched vaden and said Jesus is in our house". " No, he`s not,Vaden said and went back to sleep, Vaden was very  sleepyheaded, but I would awaken at the smallest sound. I punched him again and said, "Yes, He is Papa and Mama are talking to him,  don`t you hear them. Quoted from Oral Roberts book expecting a Miracle.
 As I read chapter one I found where Oral Roberts got his inspiration, his teaching, and desire to know who Christ was, from his parents. Oh what a blessing to have two parents that serve the Lord and what a Joy it must had been to be as a child and to hear your parents talking to Jesus. To know as a child that God was real and in your home not in the flesh but in spirit what a revealtion for a child, such a child like faith!Oral Mother had dedicated him to the Lord while he was yet still in her womb and kept her promise as she raised him in the Lord . She was a great example of having a relationship with Christ from her praying for those who needed a healing and teaching her children how to pray as they watched her pray. It is a great encouragement to read chapter one and know as I raise my own children in the Lord it will take root in their Life. Do you take time out in your day to day Life to stop and pray with your children? are you training them up in the things of the Lord.

Expecting a Mircale by Oral Roberts

 Good Evening or Good Morning . Today I purchased a book at the goodwill store by Oral Roberts. I was excite to find this book  there, for it was of course marked down to an excellent price to fit my budget. These nest few days or Months I will be blogging on what I have read and what God will share with me in studying Pastor Oral Roberts. I love to study men of God who  have  walk in the authority that God has given us. My questions are How was he able to walk in his calling in the healing ministry ? What was his relationship like with Christ such as prayer life and studying of God word? What made Oral Roberts so different than any other person that God choose him to show his glory through? I will  be posting daily on yt thoughts as I read through this book . As always all discussion are always welcome. God bless Rashida
