Loneliness, God Understands

Matthew 26:31-35Then Jesus told them, "Before the night's over, you're going to fall to pieces because of what happens to me. There is a Scripture that says,
I'll strike the shepherd; helter-skelter the sheep will be scattered. But after I am raised up, I, your Shepherd, will go ahead of you, leading the way to Galilee." 33Peter broke in, "Even if everyone else falls to pieces on account of you, I won't."

34"Don't be so sure," Jesus said. "This very night, before the rooster crows up the dawn, you will deny me three times." 35Peter protested, "Even if I had to die with you, I would never deny you." All the others said the same thing.

Have you ever been an in a situation where the heat has been turn up? You went through something so difficult and all those who you thought where your friends betrayed you? Turn their backs on you? And even went as far to act like you did not exist? Jesus understands! On that day when Jesus would be crucified. Where were his Disciples? Where were those he had prayed for daily?Jesus disciples were no where to be found! Even that friend who profoundly confessed" Girl I got your back", is the main one ducking and hiding when the heat gets turned up! But, there is someone who sticks closer than a brother; he is a friend when everyone else alienates you.

You see God understand the heart of a human, he understands our fears, anxieties, when the pressure is on! This is why throughout the bible Jesus is heard repeatedly saying “Do not be afraid”!In the Book of Mathew, Jesus is found telling his disciples, the same men who walk and talk with him daily ,that ALL of them will turn their backs on him and even one of them would actually betray him! But, God does not stop there, he said after he has finished the Job in which he was sent to do,he would gather his sheep back and lead the way to Home! Jesus understood the loneliness of the cross, he understood that their will be times when we have to finish the work that was laid before us. But we will not have those close friends cheering us on or their support!

In those times we can know and trust that God has not abandon us, and never will forsake us, he will be our support, he will be our encourager. Jesus will be that Friend that sticks closer than a brother through every trail, and every ups and downs! He will make sure you finished the work that God has laid before you! So when the heat is on and everyone has turned their back on you; When you start living for Jesus and those who you thought where your friends start moving away from you. Know that there is One True and living God who always gather his sheep in his loving hands, who comforts those who are hurting and those have a broken heart! He is a God who is always there even when you feel you are lonely. God`s word tells us he will never leave us or forsake us!
So take comfort when you are going through a trail, knowing you have One Good Friend on your side, and His name is King Jesus a friend that can Move Mountains!
