The compassion of Christ

In the midst of a crisis God is still there. These words can comfort those who have lost so much and it may seem like they are all alone. Just over a week ago their was a Tsunami that had hit the main land of Japan and thousands of people lost their life's, homes, an entire life time of memories, and hard work was washed away by a enormous wall of water. In the midst of all this tragedy I found it appalling and frustrating to listen to people speak out and say God`s hand was on this Tsunami and that this was a wake up call from God. As a Christian and a true believer in Christ message of LOVE ,I find it our duty as believers to correct those who speak in error. For the same God who has deliver us all from our sins, and who was Gracious, compassionate to us in our time of need is the same God who loves Japan and his grace is sufficient for the people of Japan. As Christians are message is one of LOVE, that their is a God who came on the earth in the flesh, and Love us so much that he laid down His life for our sins. Not once in the bible do you see Jesus killing people but He was restoring, healing, feeding, and longing for people to turn to Him. Japan is in the arms of God and God has not forgotten Japan as our prayers go out to them all. For those who believe this was the God`s wrath on Japan I want to point out a few scriptures. The scriptures clearly state that God is close to those with a broken heart" Psalm 34:18 NKJV The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart,And saves such as have a contrite spirit." In reading this verse we know that God hand is not against Japan, but he is close to them. . Also Note this scripture "John NKJV 10:10The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." God clearly tells us that their is an opponent named satan who comes to destroy us all. satan goal is to steal , kill and destroy meaning to still the word of God from us, destroy our trust and belief in God and condemn us all. The Last and final scripture that shows God`s Love and compassion for Japan is this one "John 3:17For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." We can read here that God did not come to condemn the world but to save it; and through Christ we are saved as we turn to Him. So God is a God of compassion and mercy. God has shown us his mercy while yet we were all sinners and he is the same , yesterday, today and forever. Christ Jesus mercy and grace is for the people of Japan also!
