Last night as I lay their in my bed, I begin to think about things that needed to be done. I thought about bills that need to be paid, and things that needed my attention. Worries begin to set in; the more I thought on these things the more I became restless. Nevertheless, God who is so gentle, so loving, and so kind, begin to show me a vision of a shepherd. I saw a Shepherd who was more than eager and full of compassion tend to his sheep.
God is known as the Good Shepherd. Good Shepherds makes sure that their sheep are well fed and that no sickness and disease are attacking their sheep’s body. Those who own pets, or work on a farm can understand the care that is given to animals and the responsibilities of being an owner. In the bible, God illustrates this repeatedly on how he is The Good shepherd, that takes care of us.
Note these verses:
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd; and I know my sheep, and am known by my own.
John 10: 11 I am the good Shepherd. The Good shepherd gives His Life for the sheepMathew 7:11 If you then being Evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give Good things to those who ask of him!
God reminded me that he is loving shepherd that wants to take care of me. Heal our sickness and disease; supply our every need as we allow him.The bible tells us to cast every care upon him for He CARES for us. Moreover, a Good shepherd CARES for his sheep. After spending time talking to God last night, I had the most peaceful sleep because I know that God is watching over me, protecting me as a Good shepherd protects his sheep.
