Why pray the scriptures?

I know  that some people want to know why I always pray  the scriptures over you all. Because The scripture is the truth, It is the living breathing word of God that never ever Fails.(Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands foreve
r) I am giving you something to Hold onto , something to  tell the Lord in the midst when you can`t see a way Out! I want you to remind God of His precious word in which he is ALWAYS Faithful to. I want you to build up your faith in God and that Only comes by hearing his word. The bible tell us that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. (Romans 10:17So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.) When doubt tries to creep in I want you to say No devil IT IS WRITTEN! As I pray over each prayer request. I want you to hold onto these verses with your Life! believe in what God says as TRUTH! don't take my word for it Takes God`s word for he can not Lie! His world ALWAYS goes forth and never comes back Void!
Isaiah 55:11
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Come let us reason together

Isaiah 1:18
“ Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “ Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
Have you ever took the time to just sit down and talk to God? Have you ever stop in your busy day, with the children, housework, laundry and just say " Here I am Lord, speak to me!" It is so crucial for us in  our relationship with Christ to take the time and hear from God, seek direction, and obtain his wise counseling,  to just embrace his love. It`s like a walk on  the beach on a cool summer night, nothing but the sounds of the gently crashing waves upon the beach`s cool sand. The atmosphere is set  for an intimate conversation with God. He knows every detail about your life, he knows your needs, your worries, your heartache and  he longs for you to take that walk and cast every care upon him. God wants to  lift you up and carry you through  every area of your life were you need his strengthn.  Just  envision a place  which is your comfort zone, maybe its a cup of hot tea sitting on your porch staring into the sky, and the peace that fills your soul  as you inhale each breathe of life that God has given you. That is the same peace times 100 you will receive when you stop, and wait upon the Lord. You wait to hear his still , gentle, loving voice speak Life into your soul. He is like a breathe of fresh air, that rejuvenates your inner being.  Take the time out of the day to get refreshed in Christ. he is right there  waiting for you to come and just reason together. God bless

God hates divorce

God hates divorce.

More than likely we all have heard this scripture, while true that God hates divorce because of the impact it causes on the families, this is not a scripture that should be used lightly. There are some women who are in dangerous marriages, marriages were they are beaten, raped and children are in danger. There are times when well meaning people had told these women to stay in the marriage and pray for their spouse. While praying for your spouse should always be done, I would like to say please never tell a woman in a abusive relationship to return home and just pray for their spouse because it might be their last night ALIVE! When dealing with the issue of domestic violence first thing Christians women should know is yes God hates divorce ,but that scriptures pertains to a Christian marriage were both spouse are serving the Lord. In the old testament a husband would divorce his wife for any reason, Just looking for a way out of his marriage this is why God said he hated divorce because they did not take their vows seriously and inturn destroy the covenant between husband and wife. A man that is abusive to his wife is number one, not honoring his wife. Number two ,not loving his wife as God command as Christ love the church and number three ,most likely does not have a true relationship with God to be mistreating his spouse he is to be one flesh with his wife. This is why this scripture will not pertain to a abusive marriage, for God tells us in his word that he came for us to have life and have it abundantly and being in an abusive relationship is not having a blessed life !Women in these situations need to quickly separate themself from their abusers.

One example of God removing women from an abusive relationship( not necessary physical but the bible does tell us that he was wicked) is the story of Abigail. Abigail was married to a wicked man, the bible tells us, and one day Abigail had met David he was a man after God`s own heart. Abigail was kind to David even when her husband was wicked to him inturn God gave Abigail king David as a Husband.

1 Samuel 25:3-17

3 The name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance; but the man was harsh and evil in his doings

1 Samuel 25 Now Abigail went to Nabal, and there he was, holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk; therefore she told him nothing, little or much, until morning light. 37 So it was, in the morning, when the wine had gone from Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him, and he became like a stone. 38 Then it happened, after about ten days, that the LORD struck Nabal, and he died. 39 So when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, “Blessed be the LORD, who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and has kept His servant from evil! For the LORD has returned the wickedness of Nabal on his own head.”
And David sent and proposed to Abigail, to take her as his wife. 40 When the servants of David had come to Abigail at Carmel, they spoke to her saying, “David sent us to you, to ask you to become his wife.”
41 Then she arose, bowed her face to the earth, and said, “Here is your maidservant, a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.” 42 So Abigail rose in haste and rode on a donkey, attended by five of her maidens; and she followed the messengers of David, and became his wife.

I like to stress this if you are in a abusive relationship get out for God does not wish you to stay in that relationship. Yes you can pray for your husband that God will change his heart, for God will speak to his heart but remember he has a free will he must choose to change. Sometimes God is trying to get you out of a bad relationship so he can bless you like he blessed Abigail with a man after his own heart. God word tell us he thinks Good about us to bless us not to cause us any harm!
Here a scripture to stand on if you are going through a bad marriage, stand on God promises get help don’t suffer one more day. Jeremiah 29:11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Words of your Mouth, are they stopping your blessings?

our flesh may not like change but to grow in the fruits of spirit of God their most be change in our life. I would like to talk about Complaining, murmuring, Gossiping, these things we sometimes do can hinder us in our spiritual growth in Christ and should not be practice in our Life. Take a look at this verse;

James 3:9-159 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.

The greatest example on how our mouth can cause us to lose are blessing and even hinder are blessings is found in the bible story of the Hebrews who were led out of Egypt by Moses. They wondered in the wilderness for 40 years due to disobedience. The Hebrew refused to possess the land that God had command them to posses, a land flowing with milk and honey. Not only did God try to bless them with a good land but, all those years of traveling through the wilderness God had took care of the Hebrews. The Hebrew because of fear were constantly murmuring and complaining, and did not get to enter into the land that was promised to them but had to wonder the wilderness for forty years because they refused to trust God. Those years wandering through the wilderness they choose to murmur and complain even though God had fed them, clothe them and took great care of them. Instead of being humble and having a thankful heart unto God they choose to be complainers. Oh how they must have seem to be very ungrateful people, after all God delivered them safely out of pharaoh hands who had them bond in slavery for many years. But still the Hebrew chooses to complain as Moses attempted to bring them to the promise land. The Hebrews just could not look pass their circumstance and have a grateful heart towards God, who had brought them this far! Murmuring and complain eventually rob them of their blessings! If only they could had been true worshipers
The Word of God declares in Psalm 34:1 that we should bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. How can we blessed the lord at all time if every time things go wrong we are complaining, gossiping, just being disobedient

Do you want to get to the next level in God’s Glory? Do you want to walk in all that God has laid up for you in this life time? Then begin to renew your mind in God`s word and set your mouth on praises! In Romans 12:2  It says "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." also Ephesians 4:23 says "and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, thinking, are talk becomes praises, what is in the heart will come out of are mouth" The bible is full of scriptures to help us keep are mind and words of are mouth in praises to God. for Matthew 15:18 tells us that "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man." and Luke 6:45 tell us"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."

As Christians .when we are going through tough times, lets begin to PRAISE are way through it knowing God is able to bring us through. I am pretty sure you don’t want to be like the Hebrew children in the wilderness so close to the promise land but, for their lack of faith and constant complaining they never enter into his rest. Complaining and murmuring has caused many Christians to miss their blessing, forfeit the promises that belong to them by speaking doubt, complaining and unbelief . Let changes what words come out of our mouth. No more talk of defeat, Praise God through the good and the bad. Yes he is faithful to always bring you through each trail, the next time you feel the urge to open your mouth up and complain, or doubt ,remember this verse to help you stand firm in the Lord

James 1:2-10

Profiting from Trials
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Unanswered Prayers

Why are my prayers not answer ;I hear this so many times so  I would like to address it a bit. Lets see what The Bible tells us.
one reason could be for a lack of faith  ,Doubting God can truly hindered your  prayers from being answered

James 1:6-7 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;

Mark 11:23  23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Praying to the father in the name of Jesus

John 16:23

“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

Is there sin  in your life that is blocking your prayers?
Remember to repent and confess your sins  and forgive those who you need to forgive so that your prayers will be heard.

Mark 11:25-26
25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”[a]
Pray according to the will of God
Seek God and not things, for your father in Heaven knows what you need, if you seek him first , then all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 6:30-33

30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Sometimes we just need to stand still and trust God that he will answer are prayers on time, he a God that you can take him at his word!!

Philippians 4:19

9 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
John 5:14-15

14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

1 Peter 3:7

A Word to Husbands
7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
So you see sinning can HINDER YOUR PRAYERS

LACK OF FAITH!!!
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

The bible tells us that his people perish for lack of knowledge,I pray these scripture enlighten your heart to the will of God.

Jesus hung out with Sinners so my best friend is a Pagan!

Jesus hung around sinners, so my best friend is nonbeliever. Oh boy have I heard this irrational statement to justify hanging out with someone who not only dislike your God or thinks your plain nuts for believe that Jesus is God. Jesus ate with sinner for the sole purpose to Minster to them. Throughout the bible we see were Jesus surround himself with his disciples or went away alone to spend time in prayer. God never contradicts his word, for we are warned throughout the bible to choose are friend wisely for the wicked will lead us astray. This does not mean that we treat nonchristians unkind, rude, or even walk around prideful, but we guard our hearts against anything that contradicts the word of God. How else will we win those who do not Know Jesus as Lord if we treat them unkind ,but we should only make it to the point of ministering to nonbelievers through Kindness .

Let’s take a look at a few scriptures.

Proverbs 12:26

The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.

2 Corinthians 6:14

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

The bible warns here that you can not hang around those who are sinners and not be effected. A yoke was placed onto two Ox as they walked together pulling the load that was hitched onto them to pull. As the bible describes this yoke around the oxes`s neck, picture yourself tied together to unbelievers . You both are attached together by an instrument bound to your neck, but instead of going in one direction you both are going in opposite direction. No unity can be formed when you are both serving two different Gods! One person will eventual over power the other and drag that person along.

James 4:4

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Here is another warning, the bible uses the word adulterers, for God considers his people t o be his bride! And he is the groom! The heart of his bride (Christians) going after another God.

Think about who your friends are, I always remember this saying show me your friends and I can tell you who you are!

God bless Rashida

Chapter Seven of Expecting a Mricale

“Son don’t be like other men, Don’t be like any denomination. Be like Jesus and heal the people as He did.”

These were the word spoke to Oral Roberts by his father, to walk in his calling of healing. The reason I am studying in depth the Life of Oral Roberts is because I believe that God has called me to work in the healing ministry to see the power of God flow. My hearts desires are to see people be set free, from sickness and diseases that have them bond! As I continue to read this book. I am deeply encouraged of Oral faith in God. Oral faith drives him to study the things of God and to also fast and pray. He puts his entire being into seeking the face of God and allowing God to use him. I pray that as I continue to study his life and imitate the Christ in Oral that I too will be able to grow in Faith and that God`s power and might will shine through my life as a testimony of His power. My Journey as only begun!

Chapter Six and exciting News!

Well my study continues as I study the life of the Late Oral Robert. In chapter six Oral talks mostly about his begins of his ministry and the birth of their first child. Chapter six though interesting is just the tip of the iceberg of things to come in his ministry. I see that he was very faithful to the little he had going for him and God truly blessed him with more, from staying in homes with no heat, barely making ends meet, Oral had the dedication, and persistence to continue living by faith. I look forward to reading Chapter seven.

On a different note. I found another great Christian book which is the study of Paul’s life written by Beth Moore, I am thrill to be able to purchase this book also for a whooping fifty cents at the goodwill. I pray I learn allot from this study and maybe share all that I have learned. Thank you or always stopping by and reading my bog and question are always more than welcome. God bless Rashida
